Looks like Monday, January 14, 2008, will be blustery, so I'll have some Italian wedding soup in my Mr. Bento. I've packed rye bread and stem ginger biscuits to go with it for lunch. Breakfast is greek style yogurt with maple syrup, and shredded oat squares (milk to be added).

On Wednesday, January 9, 2008, egg will be the star of my Mr. Bento, in a bed of cha-soba with furikake on top. Side dish of Mexican-style vegetables. Breakfast is yogurt with diced peaches, and a sectioned orange with one lonely craisin.

Rough workweek, this -- 3 whole days. Cold, too. Friday, January 4, 2007, will be a good day for vegetable soup in my Mr. Bento. Topped with shredded cheddar cheese. Sardine salad to spread on onion rye bread, with three little dill pickles. Dessert is a sectioned red navel orange.

I hope you all had a wonderful New Year's Day! We spent the holidays in Florida (not New Hampshire) and brought back sacks of honeybells.

For my first day back at work in 2008, however, my Mr. Bento will have red navel orange sections, mahi mahi over spinach, baguette toast with olive oil, and "key lime delicacies."
